Go slow as you start your walk from Sankri towards Saur village. As you go further uphill, you reach the Jadu-ka-Talab, a small pond that freezes during winters. After you cross the Shepherd Camp, you’llfind yourself moving through lush snow fields.The trek from base camp to Kedarkantha summit is the exhausting one, demanding high levels of energy and the spirit to ascend. But as you reachthe summit of magnificent Kedarkantha, you forget all your fatigue and start enjoying the awe-inspiring views of the Gangotri, Yumnotri, and other Himalayan peaks.The summit also makes you believe that you can touch the sky with your hands. After conquering the summit, you start your return trip; you can easily reach the Horegaon camp before evening. The next day, you trek back to Sankri while passing through lush pine forests.
