Dayara Bugyal is considered one of the best meadows in the country. The trek today explores the reason why. Start early in the morning and take the trail uphill from Barsu, a small village, barely touched by the modern world. The narrow lanes of the village open up to fields of poppy and wheat. One can see the village women tending to their fields. Trek further up through forests of oak and rhododendron to reach Barnala. From Barnala the trail to Dayara is a steep one.
When you finally see miles and miles of undulating meadow stretching out in every direction, you know that you have reached Dayara. This sight is sure to take your breath away and perhaps make you a firm believer that there is no other meadow as beautiful as Dayara. If you are hiking in summers, you can see scores of wildflowers all around. In winters, the same land is covered with thick sheets of fresh white snow, a sight unlike any other. No wonder Dayara is a perfect place for skiing lovers.Overnight in tents
